Class Levels Bria is proud to offer instruction to individuals of all fitness levels, ranging from those new to exercise to elite athletes looking for new ways to cross-train for their sport. We offer several levels of group equipment classes and all-level mat classes. Fundamentals This class is designed for anyone who wants to refine the essential principles of Pilates. You can be guaranteed to see more results out of all your workouts when you accurately understand how to activate the deeper layers of the core, align the bones of your spine and pelvis and maintain an active and connected breath. If you are brand new to Pilates, you are required to start with this class, however, even the most advanced students will benefit from mastering the detailed review this class will cover. Level 1 Classes This is a great starting place for you if you have done Pilates before but are new to Bria or the Stott Pilates equipment. We will use the 5 basic principles of Pilates you learned in Fundamentals class. Plan to coordinate your breath and posture to flow into a full body experience of the Pilates exercises on the resistance equipment - reformers, balls, bands, weights, and more. Level 1.5+ Classes These classes are for students that are ready to move on! If you are in level one and are committed to a Pilates program that has been created specifically for you in your private Pilates sessions, this is your spot. When you reach your Pilates goals and get teacher approval, you will be ready for this next stage of challenge! Students in level 2, 3 and 4 are also welcome to attend. The degree of difficulty is dependent on student attendance. Instructors accommodate students evaluated at Level 1 Progression and above, offering basic exercises for more beginning students with optional modifications for more advanced students. Level 2 Classes This class is appropriate for you when you are free of restricting injuries and are ready to pick up the pace and challenge by practicing more intermediate Pilates exercises. Teacher permission is required. After successfully completing an evaluation private with an instructor of your choosing, you may advance to this next level. If you need more attention or have an injury, this level is not for you. Level 3 and 4 Classes Level 3 and 4 classes will offer you a challenging workout. This class is designed for you if you are highly physical and proficient in Level 2 or 3 exercises. You must have healed from all past injuries, be able to do a full roll up and roll over and be comfortable standing on your hands at a wall. Instructor permission and individual accountability is required to attend all Level 3 and 4 classes. All Level Classes These classes are open to clients at any level.
